Live Improv Arrives in Oakland

Posted in Improv, Shameless PR on November 10, 2008 by badapple

Pan Theater has moved to downtown Oakland, and now there’s live improv in Oakland on most weekends.  I perform next with my troupe on Saturday, December 13 at 8 pm.   The theater is still unfinished, so right now the shows are invite only.  Drop me a line at my contact email if you would like to get an invitation and learn the exact wherabouts of the theater.  It’s located on Broadway near Grand.

Pan Theater is growing by leaps and lunges, and I recommend everyone consider learning the Improv art.  It’s very fun, and it makes you even more spontaneous and lovable than you already are, if that’s possible.

Bowman Scores Play Fest Part for April 21 & 28

Posted in Improv, Shameless PR on March 23, 2007 by alisonbowman

The latest news on the performance front is that I have just been offered a role in Pan Theater’s The Best of Anything Can Happen Play Fest. Come join me for my first scripted stage work since I played Injun Joe in the third grade production of Tom Sawyer.  The performances are two Saturdays, April 21 and 28, at Fort Mason.

 >> The shows are at 8 pm, and there will be a set of improv after the play fest and intermission.  Seats are limited so I suggest purchasing tickets before you come at this link. The show takes place at Fort Mason building D — it’s the theater inside the Blue Bear music school. Hope to see you there.  -AB

Running It Up the Blogpole

Posted in Shameless PR on February 17, 2007 by alisonbowman

So I started a blog called Bad Apple in December, but I hadn’t announced it to anyone except a few friends until this week. It’s very fun and addictive to blog, and so easy that I soon decided to create a portfolio blog (this site you are on here) as my writerly “Web presence.” And because a major goal for this year is finding a literary agent, I got the notion just this week to create a blog to generate interest in my Self Help for Cats book manuscript.

Late last night, I discovered my blog stats pages, and much to my surprise I actually have a few readers. I love you guys, you rock my world. I’d love to hear from my readers either in email or in comments. You can comment here by clicking the comment link on this page, or email me at badappletude (at) gmail (dot) com. In any case, thanks for coming around and hope to see you again soon.
